Hi everyone, I am trying to find out Qantas international check-in counter's contact number in Brisbane airport but I couldn't find it anywhere through the internet. Does anyone know the number? Many thanks.

Welcome @Kevinthecat. I do not expect that such a phone number is published anywhere and double anyone will be able/willing to provide it to you, if in fact there is such a number. Do you really need to speak to someone at the Check-in counter? Can your enquiry not be handled by the QF call centre (pending call waiting times of course).

What's the enquiry about?

But as for check-in counter phone numbers, that will not be happening, even if you did get a number, no one will be able to help you.

Hi, NM.
Thanks for your reply. I moved to US recently but my cat is still in Brisbane, boarding at my friend's place. I am arranging a pet transport for my cat in the mid or late August to bring him all the way to the state.
The reason why I want to find the number is I think it might be good to give them a call on the day of departure to make sure the flight's cargo ventilation is working. It might makes you feel I am over reacting for my cat's travel, but I read a few accident death of pet caused by the dysfunctional ventilation system in cargo area of the flight. So I just want to try my best to make the travel for my cat as safe as possible:).

Internal phone numbers. Not a chance.

You'd be directed to call Qantas Freight if that was the case. Also very unlikely that anything would happen.

I understand your care and love for your feline friend. I promise you I get it. I just lost mine a few months ago so I understand.

reality is that this is what you pay the transport company to handle for you - in terms of checking all is A-OK as much as possible. Have you liased with them with regards to your concerns? Agree also it would be Freight handling kitty's processing.. but the real question is are you sure they will be flying your furry friend BNE-LAX? BNE-SYD-LAX? (s/he could go a few routes and may even have a change of plane(s), so it gets complex).

I really hope your cat can join you ASAP safe and sound. It's a very long way for a moggy (well we humans too!).

if it helps any I once looked after a friend's feline who had come to Melbourne from Texas and he was just fine :)

Thanks for all your replies. Jetpets told us there is a government issued flight QF15 from BNE to Lax twice a week and the flight they can use to transport my cat is on Saturday.
I think I will try to find the Qantas freight number as suggested by you guys:).

Ohh if it's Jetpets, please don't contact anyone else besides Jetpets. QF Freight will not be able to help.

There is no one that will confirm for you the “cargo ventilation” is working. The crew have the manifest, and if there are any animals on board to be carried they ensure the cargo is heated/ventilated etc. No one will actually confirm it to you. It’s just normal operations when animals (AVIH) are in the hold.
