Brisbane to Denpasar flights

Been watching these flights, VA47, as have one coming up. They all keep getting major delays from the scheduled feature out of Brisbane and then end up going via Darwin. I only booked as they were direct. Does anyone know what’s going on? Do you reckon there is any room for compensation from VA given that it’s now non-direct and ends up getting to Denpasar 10 hours later then scheduled

Not sure of the reasoning, but the Darwin stop was only reinstated temporarily (Sun 13th until 17th). G20 maybe? They revert to direct on Friday (18/11).

Refuel in DRW due to G20 and official landing having priority which closes the airport for minimum 1 hour. Need fuel to hold.

I would assume QF are temporarily putting load restrictions on their 737 flights to DPS again (thus removing the need for a fuel stop) as per last time when the nearby alternates where not available.

QF this evening a last few days also doing fuel and go in DRW, both ex SYD and MEL
