This is my first "new thread" so please bear with me. As a non-frequent flyer who has to buy all her own tickets (all too infrequently for my liking) I have learnt so much from all the "real" travellers on the AFF site. I'm flying PAR-NYC, BA J class and want to know about the seating. I'm prefer an aisle seat and want to know where I should sit for the flight, ie there are forward and rear-facing seats so which is better? I've searched the internet for reviews and they are sadly lacking. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

I'm happy to bear with you!

Without checking I seriously doubt BA has 757s. You're more likely to be flying on an A319 or A321 (single aisle aircraft) from CDG (Paris Charles de Gaulle) or ORY (Paris Orly) to LHR (London Heathrow). And from LHR to JFK (New York John F Kennedy) or EWR (New York Newark) either a Boeing 777 or Boeing 747.

It's all personal preference whether to take a rear facing seat. I never have. Personally I prefer a forward facing aisle seat. The configuration means that the window seat passengers have to step through your space (or over your legs if you're in sleep mode) to get out of their area.

And if you're on a 747, grab an upper deck seat just for the fun of walking up the stairs.
