Hi,

I am booked on a BA flight from Sydney to London (Heathrow) and then am catching an onward international BA flight to TLV (connection time is 3.5hrs) . The SYD - LHR and LHR - TLV are separate tickets (the SYD - LHR was a reward tiket and I paid for the LHR - TLV ticket). I am trying to figure out whether I can check my luggage through to my final destination. The BA website says you may be able to do this depending on the airport. I've called the BA call centre twice and so far have gotten 2 different answers. First operator said it was dependent on the airport but couldn't give any further info. Second operator couldn't say for sure but said when I check in online I MAY be able to checkin for the LHR - TLV flight. Again, she wasn't certain and left me very confused as to whether I will have to go through customs, pick up my bag and checkin again. Anyone able to offer some assistance? Also, do you know if I am able to checkin to the LHR - TLV flight online when I check in for the SYD-LHR? Thanks in advance.

With a BA-BA connection, the BA policy is to through check luggage even if on separate tickets
