Hi, just wanted to know if you have a Bronze frequent flyer card can you use this to enter the QANTAS lounge?

thanks

no you cannot.

Silver gets you a once only pass.

Gold and Platinum get you access.

If you are in snow country you can use the Lifetime Bronze Frequent Flyer card to scrap ice off your windscreen.

Welcome Annstan 77. You can try to enter the Lounge with it but I would say you would have Buckleys mate.

I gave my Medicare Card once to an Indonesian Resturant to settle the bill and they tried for half an hour to run it through..........

Hi there,

I ask as on Thursday at Sydney Qantas lounge I had a guest pass (that was out of date) and my Bronze card. I went up to the desk and showed my card which was on top of the pass. I had my two year old with me in a pram and my partner.

The lady asked how many people it was for and I said myself and my partner. She then said that is fine you don't need to use your guest pass and you can take a guest in on your card.........

So we all entered. She said save the pass for next time.

I was a littel confused as I had always used guest passes before and never bothered to show my card.

So then I was thinking could I have been using the card the whole time???

Anways it seems the woman has made a mistake, but I am not complaining! :-)

Perhaps it is worth a try next time.

hee hee! I was happy as we had a three hour wait................! Had just got off a P&O cruise so had to make the flight time in the afternoon.

I think I have probably jinxed myself now, now that I know you can't use it!

thanks for the comments

A couple of things you said raises questions for me:
Why did you think you had lounge access? How did you get these guest passes that you used before?

Do you, by chance, happen to be a paid qantas club member?

BTW in theory, and with some luck, a QC NB should be able to use the NB card to check in in the lounge, with explanation, and then use the BP (obtained by the NB card) to enter the QC.

I think from reading another thread that it is easier for an NB to get in if they are wearing stubbies and thongs.

We went because we had a GUEST PASS given by my uncle regularly as he is a frequent flyer (Gold I think)

I have the bronze frequent flyer card that I collect points on....... so I showed that, as I only had one guest pass.

But as you know, we both entered just using the Bronze frequent flyer card....

But from this thread, I presume that the woman has just made a mistake and you aren't meant to enter just on the bronze card alone?
