Looking for a special dinner venue in Broome next month - suggestions? @JohnM - its H's (you met) birthday :)

Other good places for lunch and other dinners?

We are staying at Cable Beach resort (I note your earlier TR, JM) - what's the service and quality like there for a nosebag?

The restos right within the CB Club are pretty good. Cichetti Club is their top one and we had a good dinner there. I'd recommend that for the special occasion dinner. I'm not sure that you'd get any better outside CB Club, taking into account the food, setting and not being crowded/noisy.

Kichi Kichi is nice for casual Asian-style tasty food around the pool.

Sunset Bar is probably the least appealing and because it sits on the beachfront, is large and more open to everyone, feels crowded.

Sydney Rock Oyster Bar is walking distance and is good, but can be busy and a bit noisy.

Don't miss a casual meal at Matso's which is near downtown.

Zanders, across the park from CB Club is a cafe/resto that's fine for breakfast and probably reasonable for casual lunch or dinner.

However, the big caveat, as always these days, is that staff shortages are beyond critical in the North. CB Club does/did have a South Seas visiting worker program which may help them insure against the worst of staff issues.

Arlie bar is pretty good
My favourite is the the mangrove hotel - more so the setting!

Anyone remember carlottas?

Half way between full and third-quarter (waning). But we'll be at sea for the full moon, so may have a chance there (if its calm!!).

I think you'll find it's not on the ocean. It's the state of the low tide on the tidal flats of Roebuck Bay that make it what it is.
