Bulk Head Premium Economy Seats?

Hi All
Flying MEL-LAX Wed 29th June on QF 93. Currently confirmed on a Prem Econ ticket with an upgrade request on to Business. Currently seated in the second row aisle seat however i want to get the bulkhead seat in case i dont get my upgrade! (which would anyone know my chances of this?). I am gold FF and none of the front row is avail for seat selection, looking on expert flyer on my friends platinum account they are all vacant. Does anyone know at one point they are released for Golds? 3 days before? 6 days? is there a general rule?

Yes there is a general rule. 80 hours before. Search "T-80" to get more info. I haven't had much success with this on international flights, but I rarely fly overseas.
