Found this fare, with decent enough dates to catch the end of the European summer, although there may be other dates closer/further out that may work. Can book with either Etihad or travel agent.



There is also a smattering of QF J award availability to Manila from Sydney in August, to connect onto your Etihad flight.

You can add a stopover in Abu Dhabi if you so desire for AUD$~40.

The fare is booked in Z class, which will earn approx 21176 VA miles but also 400 VA status credits (assuming that status credit earn is calculated from total distance i.e. MNL - AUH - LIS calculated as 1 leg, so 8,167 mi, rather than MNL - AUH and then AUH-LIS - please correct me if this is wrong!)

Nice find! I would have thought the status credits would be awarded for each separate flight number. So it would be status credits for each sector

If that's the case, then that'd be 120 SC per sector - 20SC off VA Gold (using distances from GCMap)
