Does anyone know what kind of business seats are available on the 747-300.

eg: PER to SYD on QF580.

Does the economy cabin have personal TV screens? How about business?

thanks

Chucksta

Business has the old Int "dreamtime" seats with 50" pitch.
ECY cab has seatback vidoes...not AVOD but ample selection for a PER trip

If you can travel on a Thursday check the timetable for a 333 - it should have the skybeds in business!!!

The economy cabin does have personal TV screens but not exactly AVOD. The programs play on a 2.5 hour cycle. On the two class 747s Qantas does not use aircraft with Skybeds. Qantas also does not fly A330-300 domestically on this route, only A330-200 without sykbeds.

Danger, Qantas does fly the 333 on PER-SYD-SYD due to repositioning requirements for PER-NRT/HKG etc.

2-class 744s do indeed have Skybed... Perhaps it would have been better to say 2-class 747-300s (which don't have Skybed etc).

If you check the timetable SYD-PER QF583 on June 22 you will see 333 listed as the scheduled equipment. Agreed USUALLY you will find a 332 on this route - but the 333 is scheduled from time to time - currently on a Thrusday evening!

Sorry. I should have kept my mouth shut. Yes, I did mean 747-300s for the two class and I wasn't aware of the A330-300 flight between Perth and Sydney.

From June 1-30, all PER-NRT-NRT services will be operated by the 767-300. QF 571 (which is normally the flight with 333s [SYD-PER]) is a 763 now due to this... SYD-PER-NRT..

Effective JUL 333s will be flying SYD-PER-SYD regularly (once again).

Danger, no problems and no need to keep your mouth shut!
Sorry, forgot to say something... WELCOME to AFF Danger.

Is that why the fuel surcharge? Paying for the joyrides to nowhere!
I did MIA-MIA-LAX the other weekend. The MIA arrival was met by 6 fire engines! The following 3 hours delay at MIA meant I missed my CX LAX-HKG flight and had to spend an extra 12 hours at LAX (thank goodness for the T4 FLounge). Both CX and AA "compensated", one with a F seat and one with 6000 miles "customer service bonus".
