Business Rewards Enhancement?

I noticed that I didn't receive QF Business Rewards for my recent trip to NZ so I put in a missing points claim and received the email below in italics. I've always received business rewards for my flights in the past so I'm wondering if this is an enhancement to the program or I've just got lucky in the past. Has anyone seen anything to suggest the program has been enhanced?

Please be advised that you can earn points from flying if the ABN is GST registered but you can still earn points from the program partners.

Interesting I have a flight on Qantas in a few weeks so I will monitor and see what happens. I haven't had a Qantas paid flight for so long

I've received QBR points etc using my ABN, which hasn't been registered for GST for years. Haven't had a revenue flight for a long time, so can't tell if there has been an enhancement.
 
I've just found this in the Terms and Conditions:

6.2 Unless otherwise determined by Qantas, and without limiting any other provision of these Airline Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions, Members are not eligible for Airline Benefits, other than Reward Flights, if they:

....

e. are not registered for GST or are not incorporated entities (except for those Members who joined before 01 Feb 2017).

So the question now is whether the exception for members who joined before 2017 applies to just to being an incorporated entity or also to being registered for GST?

I think I'll try arguing the point but suspect I know the answer.
 
Interesting because I never registered my ABN for GST because it was always just for my sideline business and never needed it. I’m sure I joined prior to 2017 though
 
Will follow this. Feels like a way of removing the perks from side hustle type businesses (mine included)
 
Received QBR points for a flight in late December. My company is not registered for GST either. So either a new enhancement or you've been unlucky.

A small win; latest email from QF:

We would like to inform you that points have been credited to your business rewards account for the flights you have submitted. However, the system was not able to process the points for QF2104 and QF2109 since the booking class or fare class purchased was not eligible to earn points on business rewards but is eligible only to earn points on your frequent flyer account.
 
I don’t recall seeing anything about GST when signing up, is this really a hit and miss? I’ve got a few flights and hotels booked and so far nothing has hit my points yet. Hotel was almost a month ago, not sure on flights
