I know its not a great exchange rate hhonors to VA...but if your missing a few VA points to redeem VA flights(10,000 min exchange for 1500 VA) then this may help.

Unless going for a mega budget (eg Doubletree Johor Bahru)or mega-luxury property (eg Conrad Maldives ), I've found HHonors points to get in the order of $4-5 per 1000 points.

At the largest quantity, it works out to be around $2/VFF point.

Any HHonors point redemption value of over ½¢ is ok, 1¢ is tough. A 50K property would need to be $250 or more for that ...

i find the hhonors is only worth it when you have not enough points for a room but enough points for a VA transfer......

i did 10,000 hh to 1500 va......doesnt hurt

That would depend on the property.

Doubletree Bangkok or Doubletree Kuala Lumpur would be great value redemptions.

Hilton Pattaya at 40,000 Hhonors points wouldn't be such a smart move considering one can get the hotel for <AUD250/night.
