I am not 100% certain if this is the right place to start a thread like this.
I have had a "boys look" and can't find a thread that deals with aviation collectibles.
so if this is the wrong spot, can the mods move it please?
i don't have a lot of aviation stuff, but Mrs GPH has her little collection.
I am asking if there are any AFF'rs out there who collect "airline spoons "
i have a friend in France who collects these, and he knows I collect (amongst other things) champagne musellets (lids). However it has become more difficult to find some of the older items from now defunct airlines.
His latest request is for VIrgin Australia and ozjet. Now I'm not sure about ozjet, as I never flew with them, and don't know if they even had any branded cutlery.
I am also looking for a NAC (National Airways Corporation NZ) spoon. That is proving very difficult, I check out second hand stores whenever I'm in NZ. No luck so far.
If the items are rare / had to find, he will collect a fork, knife etc , but spoons are his passion. (Go figure).
So fellow AFF'rs and aviation collectors, of you have any old spoons that might have accident
found their way off the plane and into your cutlery drawer, and You don't mind parting with them, please PM me and I shall see if they are what he wants.
Thanks in advance
