This morning I tested the Woolworths Gift Card from National Seniors at a Woolworths Caltex.
Points can be earned on a Visa or MasterCard to get the gift card so 475 points for the $500 stored value Wish Card.
Before paying blip your Everyday Rewards Card for those points.
Pay with the Wish card to secure the 5% off by scratching off the cover to reveal the PIN on the back of the card and it works like a credit card.
If you are not 55 then be nice to your mum and dad and get either of them enrolled in National Seniors.

By the way this card works at virtually all of the Woolworths satellite stores including DANS,DICK,MASTERS,BWS,BIG and one I cannot recognize.

Likewise RAC members (in WA at least) can get 5% off gift cards. If you buy online it's Visa/Mastercard only, but if you go to their offices you can pay with Amex. The good thing with RAC is that you don't pay for postage so it's very convenient.

The Essentials Gift card from Woolies does not cover alcohol and the satellite sites are not all there. I started with RACWA and have graduated to the more powerful National Seniors card which is the WISH Gift card.
I like your Amex use but I am not a person who wishes to line up at a counter.

It seems to be Thomas Dux Grocer....is that an eastern states exclusive?? They are not in WA unless I am missing something.
I think I will give DANS a shot to see I have this totally running sweetly.
We redeem these FF points at 4 cents value or better on JASAs so this works great for getting about 13% off from an "evil empire".
13% tax free...i can live with that even if prices in Perth are about 40% higher than London and Los Angeles.

There is a Thomas Dux near me in Melbourne, but I thought they had their own gift vouchers...

I think there's a handful around Sydney and Melbourne.

That's true. The other option I'm aware of for the Wish cards is to get them through MLC. They accept Amex but charge a delivery fee.

There are quite a few in SYD - can't use the EDR card though - but I do see a fair amount of product crossover...

I went to Dan Murphys and talked to a manager.....no one gets a discount here, not even staff!
So I use more than one Wish card and quite a bit of the second one.....the EDR does not blip for a double points .....but yes I have the 407 and 707 at an effective 5% discount.
By the way the store receipt tells you the Wish Card balance and the used one hits their bin.
