[TD="align: left"]We're writing to let you know of a change to the flybuys program that will affect linked Medibank members.

From 1 September 2016, flybuys and Medibank linked members will no longer be eligible to collect 1 point for every $3 spent on health insurance premiums.

Rest assured, if you have linked your flybuys and Medibank memberships, you will still be able to collect:
  • 3 POINTS per $1 dollar spent on fresh fruit, veg & frozen veg[SUP]~[/SUP], every time you shop at Coles*
  • 10 POINTS for every day you complete 10,000 steps and have an eligible linked activity tracking device[SUP]#[/SUP]
We're always looking for new and exciting ways to better reward our members, so we'll keep you updated on new initiatives and partnerships to help motivate you towards better health and wellbeing.

Regards,
The Medibank and flybuys teams

Might be time to check out other funds that offer a better deal.
There may even be one that you can pay using your credit card.

Disappointing but you only get one point for every $3 you pay in premiums. And a fly buys point is worth 0.5 cents, so you are only getting 0.16 cents per $, which is fairly insignificant.
But I know we are all points lovers! So it may not be significant enough to make people change funds, but combined with other dissatisfactions, maybe enough for people to shop around.
I also note that Medibank reversed my points for April premiums and have not given me points for May and June. Apparently its a known IT issue but taking an inordinate time to fix.
