AUD 1182 R/T:
VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 24OCT16 AND ON/BEFORE 14JUN17. ALL TRAVEL MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT ON 14JUN17. TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/AFTER 24OCT16 AND ON/BEFORE 08NOV16.
Excellent value for 500 Qantas S/C. I've just returned from doing just such a trip and can advise that a short layover at CAI is quite doable and safe. And the new monorail people mover between terminals makes for an easy and comfortable transfer between terminals 1 and 2/3, if that's what you want/need to do (T3 is best for whiling away a few hours). The biggest hassle is taxi and baggage porter touts, but they can be handled using a firm approach and a few USD $1 bills.
A real plus with this fare is that you get to use the al Safwa 1st class lounge in DOH, which is really something. I was able to spend 6 hours in a self-contained hotel-style sleep room at no cost while transiting from BKK to CAI.
