Cairns meet up and dinner

Hello!

I've moved temporarily to CNS, for 3 months. I don't know anyone here and my job keeps me mostly out of town (Tues-Thurs only though!).

So does anyone want to do dinner and maybe a few drinks somewhere? Thinking sometime when Swanning_it is in town too, as he seems to be around a bit.

I'll put a few dates forward:
11-14th May, 18th May, 22nd May and 25th to 28th May.

Anyone keen?

Sounds great! I know Limewood and I have been talking about meeting up at some point as well and I believe there are a couple of other AFFers from the CNS region!

I'm in town on the 12/5/17 and then again on the 24/5/17 and back again on the 9/6/17. seems like this month, only the 12th coincides but I'm not sure how that suits Limewood. I'll PM and see!

EDIT: If the 12th suits, I land at about 17:30 all going well with highlands weather!

I'm in say 6.30/7pm - good feed is Dundees on waterfront under Harbour lights (next to Hilton) or Waterbar & Grill at the Pier, not many have a stand up bar through. May the 12th being a Friday need to book by Tues. next week me thinks.

I'm at Double Tree on the 12th so anywhere around the city is pretty handy. I've never been to Dundees so that sounds pretty good!

Dundees works for me. No need for a standup bar, I much prefer sitting after work anyway! Lets say 6:30pm onwards, anyone welcome!

I am a possible as I'll be in CNS on 12th May, however not sure of my availability yet.

I will soon fly from SYD to CRS for a short holiday, staying at Hilton Cairns on the 10th and Queenslanders Hotel & Apartments on the 11th and 12th. I'm interested in meeting up with AFFers too. In fact, this upcoming holiday is kinda related to frequent flyer stuff; I'm planning to attain official Gold with Virgin Australia after this trip, while enjoying myself in a city I've never been before, haha - I even deliberately chose BNE as stopover so that I'd earn a few more SCs.

Well I'm en route, sort of. I am currently awaiting a break in the drizzle and fog at RGE (Kairik). Hopefully won't be an issue. I'll try to update later, otherwise I'll be in the air heading towards CNS! See you there ... or not!

Just wrapped up. A really enjoyable evening with some excellent company. Thank you all. It's always nice to share an evening with an equally eclectic bunch of people! Special thanks to a wonderful little lady for all the high fives and cuddles!
