From a HH fact sheet on their website:
"MEMBERSHIP EXPIRATION

  • Hilton HHonors points do not expire as long as members remain active in the program. To keep an account active, members can stay at one of Hilton Worldwide's hotels, or earn or redeem HHonors points within 12 months.[SUP]1[/SUP]
"

^^^^^^ This!

Even buying the minimum amount of points is a cost effective way of keeping the account (and the points), alive!

So, the time is nigh to try to roll these over. I made a lunch res through Book a Restaurant (and intend to turn up), that will do it won't it? Hopefully, I din't leave it too late for those points to post.

I've never done the "book a restaurant" thing, so I can't comment. I'd take a screen shot of your points now though, just in case!

They can take a while to post - around 8 weeks for my last one.

Ok, so as I didn't want to run out of time, I just called them on 1-800-446-6677 and asked the quickest way to get something to keep the points alive. She said USD10 (it is on 'special'), to buy 1000 points, so now they are alive for another 12 months. Pretty happy with that. They don't show yet, but I'll check it for a while till they post.

EDIT: just called again seeing as it's a free call and got someone else who told me that it is showing an extra 1000 points, but the web site takes 24 hours to catch up. All easy. On my cc now for AUD14.18AUD
