Mrs! just got her PG pack in the mail last week -I actually read the guff that came with the pack, however the only indication that this was PG was in the opening address of the introduction letter which mentioned "partners FF earnings..."

Here's my question, if Mrs! does a bunch of flights by NOV 10, earns the necessary SC's (600?) for the jump from PG to WP - would she get WP?

I can't find an answer to this in the propoganda supplied by QF with the PG pack... :shock:

answers appreciated!

Can a MOD please put an "i" in the Platnum in the title!

NO - to get WP, she needs 1400 SC's within her "new Year".

You will note it now aligns with yours (if it did not already).

Serfty - does that mean, for example:

a ) Say your partner's membership year ends in December, and yours ends in June;
b ) Say you have earned 695 SCs from June to December;
c ) Your partner makes PG in December - meaning that they have WP and you have SG until the following December;

... that you will lose your 695 SCs at the end of December and have to make up the whole 1400 before the following December, rather than simply another 705 by the end of June?

(I know that you could simply choose not to take up the PG and get to SG on your own and do something else with it, but I'm just curious about whether SCs are discarded or not :)).

I dd not take much notice, but on thinking about this, ISTR her earning "year" was extended.

My year finishes 31st October. SWMBO's year ended 31July. I made PG in July and her year was extended until 31 Oct to match mine. So I presume earnings over the 15 months may have counted but the point was moot as she never would have had enough for PS, let alone WP.

Mrs! is in the same boat s SWMBO - no way known she would make SG, however she now gets 18 months of PG - a small bonus for the amount of time I spend in hotel rooms...

If she earns 600 SCs she will requalify for Gold status in her own right for the following year, even if you do not make the 2100 threshold for Partner Gold.

She's had a roller coaster ride on PG, I fell short last year and she got given a silver card and a 2 or 3 month QP card... NM, she does 3 or 4 flights a year, always in J, mostly T-T, her having QP membership go's without saying so it's either PG or next a QP membership of her own if my travel falls away...

BTW, Jenny still has a month of Partner QP hanging somewhere in the ether ...

My sister in law recently got to 2100 SC's for the first time ( after being WP for 4 years) and got the same package.
Her husband is CL and she pointed this out to Qantas (she has a different surname for professional reasons)
Her CL invitation arrived very promptly:)
Alas I am one step removed and remain a mere WP!
