I want to Fly to Istanbul in October hopefully on points .
When I go to the Qantas website, Emirates flights show up but Qatar don't even though Qatar is a 1 world member .. do I have to call Qantas?
2nd Can I book on points on the way there and pay on the way back ?

Nah. Qatar reward seats can now be found over at Velocity. Qatar decided that Qantas is no longer worthy.

Qatar can officially be booked using QFF.

There does appear to be a restriction on routes (mostly anything that is to or from Australia) and number of seats (generally you will only find one.

QF and QR have been bickering for many many years now, and recently resulted in the inability for QFF members to redeem in premium QR cabins unless it's a couple of days before the flight.

Not on the Qantas site/phone no (unless it's QF's own flights). You could book a one way through QFF and another one way on the QR site as the return, but this would likely result in a significantly higher price then if you had just paid for a return.

havent even seen these of late, its weird if you look for the next day travel it comes up with 0 options clickable (which usually would result in the search returning an error)
