Will be in SA shortly

Can AFF's advise if I can take on board domestic flights a bottle of wine like we can do here in Oz?

Transporting liquids

If you are travelling overseas, you will need to follow the new international security regulations that limit the quantity of liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) in your hand luggage. Please make sure that the liquids you carry on board are packaged and transported in the following manner:

Liquids, gels and aerosols must be kept in containers of 100ml each.
They must be packed in a 20x20cm transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.
Only one bag is allowed per passenger, and it must be shown at airport security.
Exemptions will be made for medications, baby products, and special dietary requirements. Duty free purchases such as cigarettes, liquor and perfume are also permitted in reasonable quantities.

Please note: LAGs only apply to international flights.

So it would appear you can.

Many Thanks, but have had experience in some countries where they just apply the international standards domestically.

Hopefully an AFFer may have experience

So have I, and they make it clear when this is so. The bolded part of my post is from the SAA website, not my own words.

I understand that getting someone's personal experience can be reassuring and I hope an AFFer is able to provide that, but I for one would be happy to rely on SAA's own advice on what you can and cannot carry onto their planes. :)
