Can i use qantas hotel voucher and still earn the triple points frenzy?

I am booking a hotel thru qantas hotels for the triple points frenzy, can i use a qantas $50 hotel voucher thru points club on this booking and still earn the triple points or will it make the points invalid if i use it?

You will earn your 9x points on the cash components of your booking (so after deducting your $50).

In my experience I've earned QFF points on the total booking value regardless of what was used to pay for the booking.

So a $50 hotel booking should still earn 450 QFF points even if you use a $50 voucher to pay for the booking.

I can confirm that.
Made a booking last night to take advantage of the x9 points offer with a $30 credit.
Points came through for the whole booking

This must be something new I've never seen.

I have quite a few bookings for March and April and points have not come through yet. In fact I've never had points come through until after the stay has been completed.

Yes JohnK in my experience the points are credited after the hotel stay. Does anyone else know better ? BTW I often find when there is big bonus point offer with Qantas hotels the price of the hotel is more than compared to before the offer.
