Hi, looking at the cost of a one way Y+ (SYD-NRT) with a JASA (NRT-SYD) return.

There currently is a PE Sale Fare available but it appears to be only available for a Y+ return booking.
Could that fare be used for the first sector with a JASA completing the return booking?
The Sale fare doesn't appear to be available for a one way booking (SYD-NRT sector).

thanks

I do not believe you are able to combine a paid airfare and an award airfare on the same booking. Can easily do it as separate bookings but as you found out the sale airfare is not available on a one-way.

I do not even think you can have mixed classes on a paid airfare either unless the booking engine has somehow offered mixed classes. e.g Cannot book premium economy out and economy back.

The current PE specials are for return journeys only, not for sale as a one way journey.

Assuming that this is the TLSSJP1 fare (the cheapest PE fare I can find on EF);

So it would seem that the fare can be combined with other fares (See the bold). However I've only ever seen this done with other purchasable fares.

The question is whether the fare can be combined with a JASA - I can't find any rules to that fare. I suspect the only way you could try it is to see if you hit a good QF telephone agent who understands what you are trying to do. But I must admit I'd be surprised if you could do it.
