Does anyone have a suggestion for airlines/routes for syd-toronto-syd in June? Happy to go via Europe if it is efficient for sc, and probably looking to purchase Y ticket and use points for upgrade to J?

there are 2 active threads right now ...infact one of them is on the MAIN PAGE on how you could possibly do this.

just because it's australia day doesn't give you the right to be another lazy sod.

Hit "SEARCH" and give it a shot.

Lots of routing options. The easiest are probably

SYD-JFK on QF then JFK or LGA-YYZ on AA
SYD-LAX on QF then LAX-YYZ on AA

Or a RTW trip using QF/BA/CX via Europe, BA trans-Atlantic, AA between YYZ and LAX (maybe via ORD or DFW) and QF/CX trans-pacific. Either direction is good.
