Hi everyone just after some help with a few problems

1. applied for a visa on whpcanada .org . au and got told I was inadmissible due to drink driving... I have been going back and forwards with emails trying to work out if they will let me in and still have heard nothing back for the past week.

2. If they find I’m inadmissible is my passport black flagged or in a list of some sort for visits to Canada?

3. Found migrationexpert .com if I apply with them and tick no would anyone find out at customs about my history. Or do they have a way of looking me up.

4. If I forget about Canada all together and apply to go to USA instead could they find out any of my information from the Canadian people?

The funny thing is I travelled to both these counties only 4 weeks ago for a holiday in the USA Visa Waver Program and Wedding in Canada

Thanks in advance.... If i make no sence sorry

gawy,

Welcome to AFF,

I assume you are travelling on an Australian passport. Is this correct :?:

Based on that assumption, why are you applying for a new Canadian Visa as from my experience they are valid for 3 months.

Gawy, please specify if you want a Working Holiday Visa or just a Tourist Visa?

Canada doesn't like high range drink driving offences.

Working Holiday Program (WHP) Canada

Examples of the types of convictions or traffic offences that will render you inadmissible to Canada

Impaired driving OR drink driving (with a blood alcohol reading of 0.081% or above). This includes drink drive traffic infringements and convictions;

There are other criteria which can restrict your entry, but that sounds like the one you're having problems with.

There is a process for "rehabilitation", which you can follow, but it's lengthy from what I've heard. Perhaps look at other options like the UK working holiday visa.

Yeah .10 BAC so reabilitation is i think 5 years so i have one to go

Would you guys recommend trying to use an Immigration Lawyer to help or just a waste of money?

Wait a year then? The snow will still be there, winter after winter.

You could also try Europe? Though you’d need to know another language most likely. Also, South America might be good, if you’re already a ski instructor.
