The Canberra Airport Open Day is happening again on Sunday 3 April from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and will feature loads of aircraft displays and children’s activities.
Visitors to the Open Day can climb aboard aircraft from Qantas, Qantas Link, Virgin Australia and operational RAAF aircraft. See the World-famous “Connie” aircraft from the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society, along with a Caribou, and Catalina flying boat. Visitors will also have the opportunity to get up close to smaller aircraft, an Airport Fire Truck and equipment used to service passenger aircraft.
There will be 5 thrilling aerobatic displays every half hour from 10:30am – 1pm. Including high energy displays by the Red Baron, Fastrack Extra and RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display.
The Open Day also features free carnival activities for the children, including a jumping castle, face painting, glitter tattoos and an animal petting paddock.

Anybody going to be there?
I've never been to one before, so I'm thinking of flying down for the day and checking out out... not to mention seeing CBR itself, as I'd otherwise never have a reason to fly there!
