As a result of changing banks, my partner and I had to have our TA book 2 classic J tickets from HKG for us. However as you all know, she would need to jump through hoops to get it authorised due to the Foreign Credit Card Policy QF has in place.

Just checking our dates again, 2 more Classic J seats have been released, so to use our credit card now do we:
  • Have to call QF as you can not cancel the booking online
  • Lose the 5000 points/passenger cancellation fee
  • Do we have to pay the 8000 point phone assistance fee?
Is there another way that this can be done, without having to go through this?

Note!! for bookings ex hong kong there is NO requirement to present the credit card in advance... only at some stage prior to baording... so either at check in or at the transfer counter.

you can make the booking on line with no problem. This disffers from Bangkok or China.

One problem, the booking was made with a credit card that was not ours and will not be making the trip with us.
Since then we have since got our cards, so I was trying to see what the costs was to cancel, rebook with our card to save any dramas we may have.
