Just wanted to vent my frustration somewhere while trying to sort out which avenue to take.
Airline tickets were cancelled by Qantas between layovers in a foreign country (USA) leaving me partly stranded and without connection flight tickets or answers! and as the qantas 1 3 “customer service” number estimates a 7 hour wait time on hold.
I say No Thank You!
Qantas have not credited or refunded any airfare tickets purchased, cancelled return flight home and i have not received any notification other than the generic email to say all tickets purchased have been cancelled literally while waiting at the gate to board.
I cant understand why they cancelled a connecting flight which still exists here through American Airlines.
Given the current frenzy i can understand the reasoning for calls that no one can leave the country right now and vice versa but why cancel a connecting flight in another country, which is now by the looks of things going to cost an arm and a leg to get where i need to go which is pretty frustrating.
One way flights from USA to Australia on June 1st, 1700 USD is the cheapest i can find!!! The online Qantas flight booking thing transfers you to a US based Qantas site and is trying to charge 3kAUD for a one way flight home, its bloody wrong.
cough* you Qantas, cant be trusted.
