Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
Made a dom booking yesterday and entered my QFF number during the booking process. Have done this dozens of times with no issue.
The e-ticket is received.
Go to select seats, MMB shows no QFF number.
Manually add it again, refresh and still no QFF number.
Tried other OW airline sites with the same and no ability to change.
System glitch?

Where/how did you make the booking? qantas.com or elsewhere?

As you say, normally QF will add your FF# automatically when you open the booking AND you are logged into your account.

Logged in, qantas.com, using a GV. I have used this method (to bypass the credit card fee) plenty of times over several years. This is the first time I've had this happen.

Did it auto fill your name?

so is this how it works: if I intend to purchase a revenue fair, do I first purchase the gift voucher for the value of the fare ( or greater ) and then pay with the voucher to avoid card fee ? Can I pay reward seat taxes that way as well ?

Got an email from the VIP team who fixed it. Not sure why it happened in the first place, problem solved!

Have you tried the ol' RoyalJordanian/RoyalAirMaroc trick (i.e. go into manage my booking on either website entering your Qantas details and plugging your QFF into the frequent flyer field?). I've had that work for me in the past. Alternatively, you can always call up QF and have them sort it out.

The GV values are multiples of $50 up to $500 and then $1,000 and $2,000 per person included (you can buy a GV to cover e.g. two people, each person having $X loaded onto it). This would make is impossible to get the value to match the desired fare. I always buy the smallest denomination and then pay the balance on my CC when booking.
