I just want to know why the thread title is being used to provide information and not the first post.
 
It also means status pax in Y can no longer be seated in PE seats for free.
 
NZ fly widebodied 777 across the ditch to east coast Oz and back most mornings.

It's a cough - as indicated, status PAX can no longer preallocate PE seating on an economy (e.g. seat fare) booking.

Also, "Works Deluxe" bites the bullet on these flights ...

  • For travel from 25 October 2015, on 777 or 787 aircraft operating between New Zealand and Eastern Australia or the Pacific Islands, members can move from Economy to Business using one Recognition Upgrade. (Members may also opt to use one Recognition Upgrade to move from Economy to Premium Economy or from Premium Economy to Business)
