Car hire for upgrade - Freo vs Perth Airport

I'm VA WP and heading to Perth/Margaret River in April.

One of the perks with VA WP is complimentary Europcar Elite. This offers an upgrade 2x above (Subject to availability)

We were originally planning to pick up the car in the Freemantle hire place, but do you think it's better to go for PErth Airport to maximise chance of an upgrade?

I'm thinking they might have more luxury cars at the airport vs at Freemantle.

My couple of experiences with Europcar Elite have only been disappointment in terms of upgrades.

You could always call ahead and ask though?
