Hi everyone,

Am on a roll tonight - looking for answers ! :)

Any car service recommendations for transfer from a Beverly Hills hotel (Sofitel) to LAX ??

Know I could just pick one from "google" etc - but thought I would ask, as personal experience is always welcomed.

Cheers,

Brooke

The Sofitel is directly opposite the Beverly Centre ...... fair range of high end stores + Bloomingdales and Macy's ......few good place to eat etc. ...... but you wouldn't say it was actually in 'Beverly Hills' exactly .......... can recommend the hill side patio rooms + good food in the bar but.

I just used a private super shuttle cos I had too many pax and bags!

That Sofitel is great. Service is genuine. As a plat Accor member we booked a suite and got an upgrade to a better one.

Opposite beverley center and walkable to The Grove and Melrose Ave. Even though you're in west Hollywood, the area seems a bit "dodgy".

edit: just saw your post in November.... You're an old timer there, so no need for hotel advice!

Thanks Clivem ! We have stayed there before, and really enjoyed it.

Just curious - The Patio Rooms, they are definately "Hollywood Hills" view ? Currently have booked "Hollywood Hills Luxury View King" room but am thinking of upgrading - but I still want a hills view. Can you double/triple confirm for me ???

Thanks heaps !

Hi Brooke01

The 'patio rooms' are different to the 'Hollywood Hills Luxury View King' ....... they are on the same 'hills' side of the building but a little lower and they actually have a good small patio area .... very nice to read the paper / book ....juice or coffee in the morning etc. + same good view of the hills.....

The room description 'cut and pasted' off the Sofitel web page reads ....... ' Patio Luxury Room, 1 king size bed, Patio space with seating area, HDTV, Comp WI-FI ' ...... current rate of the site on the night I checked reads around 392 AUD ..... hope that helps.

I always enjoy the vibe at the bar - good bar menu......usual some entertainment most nights ........ I've never had an issue / problem at the Sofitel LA to date..... I have sort of floated between here or 'The Shore' @ 1515 Ocean Ave at Santa Monica of late .........

But for a 'special' stay when we can get away with it ..... it is Chateau Marmont time.

I have used Execucar with no issue at LAX (and many other US locations) ... sometimes you just have to give their call centre a ring and the car/SUV is bought around to the curb side at TBIT in about 5 min. Enjoy the ride !
