Carry on bag recommendations?

I recently got the http://www.bagnbaggage.com.au/travel...ollaboard.html and it looks fantastic. Has the expandable zip thingy, is 2.6KG...
The only issue is that, technically, it's slightly too big for Virgin Domestic (apparently)..... but, it (apparently) fits in QF, and is called the 'domestic' carryon bag... That $136 is a good price for it as well - and free shipping.

Samsonite’s most popular softside is aptly named, being both durable & lightweight. The Strictest standards that have come from one hundred years of experience ensure that Duralite has the quality you need & expect. This is coupled with features including multiple pockets, expandibility & piggyback straps all wrapped up in a very light & durable package.

- Multiple mesh pockets
- All outer zips are lockable
- Usually accepted as domestic cabin size (*check with airline before departure)

EDIT:-> Yes, that link says the size is 107cm in linear dimension...
Virgin's limit is 105cm ... QF is:
"1 x 115cm (45in) bag" *OR* 2 x 105cm (41in) bags

PS;_>How the hell did I post this on my blog???

This is my first post and I hope this is useful...............

At Peters of Kensington, this HEYS XCASE selling for only $59@. I bought 2 myself. The weight is 2.3kg, which is not a lot more than the Cosmolite. You can buy it on their website and they probably charge less than $10 for delivery.

Saw this place on eBay eBay: Hannah's Business and Travel Bags (no affiliation) and thought they were pretty cheap for Tumi in Aust, free postage too.

Very cheap for Tumi, even cheaper than American prices. There is a reason why Tumi won Travel and Leisure luggage award. The Vapor range is better than any of the other bags mentioned on this thread, no offence to anyone that has one of the others mentioned.

The Sea to Summit packing cells are excellent for inside the bag to organise clothes, socks, etc.

I'd be looking for a wheeled duffle as the main bag, or if you don't mind, a soft duffle with no wheels as both are lighter, particularly the latter, and allow you to load more items. I recently changed to a soft duffle for that reason, as the rollerbag is 2.5kg, and most of my domestic flights are JQ/DJ.
