CE we will be in Melbourne Aug 25 to Aug 28 but we don't need any second rate wines on the table. I think we are coming for footy seeing the Dockers are rounding off a magnificent season. I know you have a stash of good stuff so we don't need any more mistake purchases to turn up that we have all made over the years.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

CE are you recommending it? I don't know it.
We get back to Perth this weekend coming so I will look up what we are really doing for that long weekend in Melbourne.
I plan to do a US tester at Ruth's Chris tomorrow night.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Let me know ASAP - penegal free both nts so we best confirm a date sooner rather than later.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I'll be in MEL on 27th and 28th, can do dinner at OT on either of those nights if dates suits everyone else.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

27th is a Sunday and they are closed - if stars align I am off to ZRH 28th - I'd rather not miss it if possible. I still have a couple botts something to give you don't I mate?

In this case I may be able to change my booking to the 26th. It's an Avios award so I'll offset the €16 change fee with an extra glass of your Mount Mary :p

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I think Saturday 26th could work ok. Would be good to catch up with penegal too.
The Essendon vs Dockers is on Sunday.
I have been working thru the red wine list by the glass at Ruth's Chris because I can.

My wallet still recovering from recent visit to RC in Maui.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

As alluded to via SMS, I will be attending.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

So penegal I see you are in the DPRV now.
We leave tomorrow night from Los Angeles so my last chance to sample Californian red wines by the glass.
Some of their reds would be best left on the vine according to my taste buds.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

That weekend doesn't work for me,

Cove will you be back in time for Fremantles last home game at Subiaco(Domain stadium) or what ever you want to call it.

New stadium looks good.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Good evening gentlemen. My spy in the far north has alerted me to this thread. The combination of Olive Tree and red wine sounds rather alluring. It seems you are headed for the 26th August for dinner. Are more applicants such as myself welcome for such an occasion? I knew i'd been saving a bottle of 1996 Jacobs Creek for some reason. :D

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I think we're unlikely but shall keep an eye on this thread

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Yes Bundy Bear.
We have tickets about to be issued for the new stadium.
Meanwhile the last game in Melbourne for the Dockers is in Melbourne so we are going.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals
