It's not my usual destination of choice, but I have a weekend off and some fairly ok economy fares are available on VA to Bali.

I know Bali now has a "meal and beverage" service, but it also lists that items are available for sale off the menu still.

I'm assuming you'll get a meal with a drink, however is that the limit of it? Is there an unlimited beverage service (beer, wine & soft drinks) like Qantas, or is it simply one pass with the trolley and then the Amex comes out?

The drinks are complimentary all flight except for spirits. Spirits are $8.

The retail items available are only the snacks - no pies, sandwiches or wraps and coming back from Bali often no cheese and crackers.

Enjoy!
