Can someone please tell me what access rights bronze Qantas Club members have to Cathay Pacific lounges in Hong Kong and other Asian countries when flying economy ?

Thanks for your help.

Absoutely none!

This is a query which I raised earlier as to whether anyone knew about or thought that the one world airlines should change their policy on this.

If I was a member of United Airline's Red Carpet Club (RCC) which is similar to QC, I can access any other lounge of any star alliance member when flying on any star alliance airline. EG: If I am flying on Air New Zealand I can access their lounges or if I am flying Lufthansa I can access their lounges. In fact I don't even need to access the lounge of the airline I am flying - I can access any star alliance lounge when flying on a star alliance airline [You probably would want the lounge of the airline with which you are flying so you can see the monitors and keep tabs on departure times etc].

Should the one world airlines change their policy?

Will this ever happen?

Qantas Club members on get access to Qantas, American Airlines and British Airways lounges. They used to get access to US Airways as well, but that stopped recently.

Note that Qantas Club membership is not a OneWorld product and does not have OneWorld benefits except that it includes a QF FF membership.

If travelling business or first class on any OneWorld airline, you can use the CX business or first class lounge respectively when in HKG. But if in economy you only have access to the QF/BA lounge and only if departing on a QF or BA flight on that day.

Also note there is a QF lounge in HKG, sure its not a good as the fancy CX ones but i have used it before when i was only a pleb silver (QF life) and it was fine, Has internet, showers, some food etc.

Yes, but a Qantas Club member can only use the QF/BA lounge at HKG when departing on a QF or BA flight. Of flying with any other airline then they are not entitled to use the QF/BA lounge.

I was really not having a good day yesterday not reading things correctly !
I know this problem you speak of.... also had the same when i was a pleb, and always attempted to fly QF/BA just so i would have access.
