Cathay online check in at Mel?

I haven’t flown CX for a decade. Will soon again in about a month. Does anyone know if Cathay offers online check in that bypasses the airport desk entirely if I have no luggage?

I’ve been flying SQ and I can online check in and walk straight to customs.

But when flying Fiji recently, their online check in was deliberately spitting out errors so as to force everyone to go via desk.

Had no problems checking in online with them recently from SYD. Although I did check in some bags the check in agent did ask if I wanted print outs of the boarding pass.

Yes you can as you can print the boarding pass online
