I've tried finding the answer to this on the Cathay web site, but had no luck. Hence this post.

Can anybody please advise me how long before departure Cathay Pacific check-in opens at Kathmandu? I believe that at Melbourne it's usually 3 hours, but don't know if that's universal.

I will have an 11:00 pm flight out and my current schedule looks like I'll be getting to the airport about 5 pm. I don't mind checking in early and then snoozing in the lounge for a couple of hours, but I don't want to have to hang around for 3 hours or so before checking in ... if needs be I might be able to change my schedule to arrive later.

Thanks in advance.

Have not been there myself but have had a friend fly from there recently. He said that to enter the airport you must show your e-ticket or itinerary to security and due to congestion in the airport they weren’t letting passengers in until 2 hours before the flight. I’m guessing it’s different for the time of day you are there perhaps?
