Earlier this year I finally changed from the Krisflyer card to the Black M'card.

While travelling overseas I had found that sending money via WU at short notice was a good way to get some cash. Not treated as cash advance.

Doing it on/off for two years in the KF card.

First and last time on the Black Mastercard as I discovered that Westpac treat a Western Union online transaction as a cash advance. Ouch and along came all the fees and interest.

Nice one Westpac, live and learn.

28 Degrees the same.

With Citibank Readycredit Western Union is treated as a purchase. Perhaps the same with other Citibank products. Worth looking into.
