CBR Dinner/Drinks Night on 16 MARCH 2013

Hey Canberra People

Its been quite a while since our last gathering hosted by SQ421. It is the time now to have another gathering, maybe some drinks or two, and a dinner. In a town as EXCITING as Canberra, we have to have another gathering just to infuse ourselves with the COOLNESS of CBR (Sarcasm: pun intended).

Right now there aren't any confirmed venues, but they will be reserved in due course. Open to Suggestions too so feel free to suggest your favorite restaurant or watering hole!

We are going to Konoba at Hotel Realm, an establishment that i have personally tested and found to be suitably wonderful.

tentatively the event timetable would look like this

1700: Pre Dinner Drinks at HonkyTonks
1800: Dinner at Konoba, Hotel Realm
2200: After party at someone's suite (booze will be supplied by yours truly

)

Venue I guess depends on where others live or are staying!

I like Belluci's in Woden but that's very easy for me. Otherwise something in Civic or even Manuka?

The new terminal should be open that week, and hopefully the new Virgin lounge. I look forward to checking them out.

We'll miss it by a week! We're in CBR on the 23rd March.

Pity, last decent party in CBR we attended, we ended up ringing the Carillon bells at 2am. I'm assuming whoever it was with the keys was in the poo in the morning! Great night though....bugger of a hangover next morning!

Being a Canberrian I am definitely in. Will have spent the week in Melbourne so sure to be home. My vote would be Civic more central but Manuka also has my vote.
Wild Duck at Kingston is good have spaces that can be closed off for a more private dinner. Food is also good, http://wild-duck.com.au/

Nope, thats another affair at a rather short notice and as such is being discussed offline (mainly so as to not confuse people!)

(though, if anyone is interested, happens to be in town, and would like to catch up, myself and 4 other FT/AFFers are catching up for a dinner followed by drinks on the 16th of February)

Hey Guys its lowjhg here with an update of the event. It is exactly 1 week before the event and i proud to say that I'm really psyched about it!

Firstly sorry for the lack of communication for the past few weeks, work was knocking my head off thus no time to post or research anything.

I've just realized 16 March is also skyfire day (if anyone of you don't know what skyfire is google 'Canberra Skyfire'). Expect massive throngs of people moving into CBR during the weekend!
