After talking to the usual suspects, plan's are afoot to have an End of Year Dinner in Canberra on Wednesday 25th November 2015, 6 PM (with possibly a few drinks before and after the feed!)

This will be a chance for the Canberra AFFers (or those passing through that week) to catch up, talk about miles, points, travel, and loyalty programs with fellow enthusiasts over a few beers and a meal.

If you haven't been to one of these before, do come along, you'll likely end up learning something new.

I'll update the pos once I've locked in a venue, in the next day or two.

I missed the one in Darwin when I was living up there - sounds like a plan! Being a Canberra local, happy to help organise - where were you thinking?

I'm in. Prefer Civic, somewhere with outside seating option if the weather is not too hot/cold/raining. Look forward to it.

As the least reliable member when it comes to CBR functions, I add my usual ... would love to come and meet everyone if I am actually not travelling for once!

Ps. SQ421 can vouch that I actually exist, and thanks for organising!

During the planning phase, I have said I'd be in. It is unlikely but I *might* be away for work on that week. I guess it means I am Gold at this stage.

Sounds like we have 4 Yes and 4 Maybe so far :)

Hope the Maybe's can make it!

It is becoming more and more unlikely I'll need to take that work trip on the week of 23rd Nov; so my "maybe" is morphing into a "yes"... fingers crossed...

Honkytonks, Shortys in the mall and a few places on Lonsdale street a short walk from civic centre.

If anyone is keen, Molly's speakeasy for a drink after.

I'm Quite friendly with the owner of Benchmark Wine Bar in the CBD. He always really looks after me and the group. Had some great nights there. Let me know if there is any interest

SQ421 suggested an Indian restaurant at some stage as well, and then there is the Dumpling House which is easy to get a table at and is quiet enough to talk, and is comfortable. Both are fine by me.

I think most already know by now that I eat anything and I like the Dumpling House, but maybe it is time to try somewhere else? We don't want people to start rumours that Canberrans are a boring bunch, do we? :-)

Goodo Hossein. What was the name of that Indian place ...
