I'll be flying CBR-MAN and back shortly. If anyone's interested I'll post my experiences of the flights.

I think most people would find my itinerary a bit "unusual":

CBR-MEL (DJ) Y
MEL-DRW (JQ) Y
DRW-SIN (TR) Y
SIN-HNL (UA) C via NRT
HNL-IAD (UA) F
IAD-LHR (UA) Y
LHR-DUB (BD) Y
DUB-MAN (EI) Y
_____________
MAN-DUB (FR) Y
DUB-LHR (BD) Y
LHR-IAD (UA) Y
IAD-LAX (UA) C
LAX-SEA (UA) F
SEA-SIN (UA) C Via NRT
SIN-PER (TR) Y
PER-SYD (DJ) Y
SYD-CBR (bus)

All booked in Y, but with upgrades on UA. Total cost less than AUD 2,500.

Arthur Hodgson,

Unusual routing is not that unusual around here. We look forward to hearing of your experiences.

Please Do report back....

Living vicariously through such TR's at the moment .... got two NZ trips coming up.. (one is a little more interesting.. SYD-CHC-HKK vv) then following the fine example of you (and many others here) by doing my first TRIP next Feb..

SYD-SIN(to try the 380)-BKK-HKG-NRT-ICN-YVR-PDX-PHX-LAX-AKL-SYD.

Mix of C, Y and Y+ (with UG applied for)... should be fun!

P.S. Speaking of fun... when looking for info on Hokitika, I bet I wasn't the first to assume the airport code was HKT.. THAT leads to surprising results!
