I am looking for a credit card that offers an included travel insurance policy which best covers pre existing medical conditions.

I am currently with AMEX and their insurer will not cover any medical conditions you already have and nor is there the option of paying an additional premium for these conditions.

I have checked several other cards and some will complimentary coverage of pre existing conditions with the payment of an additional premium ( eg ANZ).

Is anyone aware of an Australian CC issuer which includes travel insurance that either covers pre existing conditions and or includes them at reasonable rates?

We get rorted for travel insurance in australia. I lived in the UK for a while and paid around 40 quid annually for travel insurance. There's nothing wrong with checking out whether there is a credit card insurance bundle that will suit your needs. I use the insurance on my CC when I travel and gladly allocate the money i would have spent on separate travel insurance to holiday activites.

I don't have any pre-existing conditions though.

Cards that have insurance through Zurich allow for pre-existing conditions with payment of a $75 administration fee. They covered my son's asthma, I'm not sure the extent of the pre-existing conditions they would cover is though.

They don't cover everything but are reasonably generous given the short tail (ie length of your trip only) risk they are taking. Won't cover musculoskeletal but will cover stuff like cardiac.
