Last week, I made an online change to an existing (classic) award booking, modifying the return date. The changed itinerary is visible both on the QF website and on Checkmytrip. However, a week later, I still have not received an updated e-ticket, and the 3500-point change fee has not been deducted from my account. Does anyone have any experience of how this process is likely to take? I don't recall ever changing an award booking before.

(Just as a bizarre footnote, when I made the online change, as well as asking for the 3500 points, it also asked for some money: a whole FOURTEEN CENTS...which I had no alternative but to pay, or it wouldn't complete the change. Maybe that has max-ed out my credit card...:rolleyes::rolleyes:).

Well, it was comforting to see that no-one seems to have any more clue about this than I did!

After a few more days with still no sign of an new e-ticket, I started smelling a rat, and called the Premium desk. They looked at the booking and hummed and haahed for a while, and commented that it seemed to be "stuck in the system". They then fiddled around for quite some time and then informed me that it should be OK now. Sure enough, the new e-ticket arrived shortly thereafter (faithfully recording the $0.14 charge :rolleyes::rolleyes:).

The moral seems to be: take care if using the online booking change system and keep an eye on what is happening!
