One World and Global Fares Update 01 September 2010
Effective immediately, the following changes have been made to the One World Global Explorer Fares and Circle Asia and South West Pacific Explorer Fares:

Global Explorer Fares (AGLOB34/ DGLOB34/ LGLOB**)

*Fares introduced ex Georgia
*Economy booking class for FJ changed from L to M class

Circle Asia and South West Pacific Explorer Fares (AAS**/ DAS**/LAS**)

*Carrier RJ added

Hmmm ... there's something going on here. The published prices on the Oneworld website seem too good to be true. An ANONE4, ex-Aus, has dropped ~$2500!!!

oneworld Explorer -
4 continent
Economy AUD3,289[Peak: AUD 3,479]
Business AUD10,189
First AUD14,349
5 continent
Economy AUD3,849[Peak: AUD 4,079]
Business AUD11,349
First AUD15,409
6 continent
Economy AUD4,489[Peak: AUD 4,759]
Business AUD12,769
First AUD16,469

I have a couple of AONE4's and a couple of DONE4's currently held, but not ticketed, so if this is true, and not a website error, then this is brilliant!!

I've just quickly knocked up a RTW itinerary via the Qantas website, and an AONE4 base fare is coming up as $17,097, which is the "old" price.:(

Either that or those taxes etc. really, really suck.

Something very odd is going on it seems... my ticketed but not paid ACIR22 dropped from $12,099 to $9,149 as listed on the OneWorld website.

Perhaps OneWorld is having another sale - the AONE4 prices ex-AUS were around $14,500 during the 10% OneWorld 10th Anniversary sale on a couple of occasions last year - I booked a couple myself.

FT reports changes to UK xONEs and US CIRCs.
Some suggestion that an old fare list may have been uploaded.

Wait, see and hope!

The Circle Asia fare (>13k)has also dropped by nearly $1,000.

I am really annoyed by this, last year I missed out on the 10% sale by less than a week and this year the price drops less than three weeks after I purchase my ticket.

Same here - so don't know where that $14000 fare came from.

Just called QF to pay for my ACIR22 - after a fair bit of time on hold I was told that the official line was 'it's a mistake', although they weren't happy with that answer themselves (as they verified what I was seeing on the OneWorld site) so they'll call me back tomorrow with the real answer.

Seems like it is a too-good-to-be-true situation, and prices will be back to their normal levels on the website in the near future.

Trouble is, James - the prices haven't changed at all on the website when some of us made dummy bookings - damn it!

Oh well, it does appear to have been a mistake after all, as suspected.:(

Prices on the Oneworld website have returned to the higher rates.

Very selfishly I am glad it was a mistake and not a price drop. I would have hated to have missed out on such a fare just after I have purchased it at full price.
