Hi
My son and I are booked on an AA award flight from Washington DC to Boston on 6 January. We pick up another separately booked JL award flight from there to NRT. These were both booked through the QFF program using QFF points.
AA has today advised that in anticipation of travel interruptions due to winter storm Blair, fee-free changes can be made to our flight from DCA to BOS. However as we booked through QF, I need to contact QF to seek any change. The only thing we could do is depart one day earlier to avoid the weather in DC and be more confident of making our BOS-NRT flight.
Does anyone know if QF will allow a fee free change to a revenue seat given I'm sure there won't be any award seats remaining on 5 January, or whether they'll simply advise me to cancel my award flight and purchase paid seats?
Appreciate any insight ahead of spending hours on hold with QFF.
Thank you
Geoff.
