G'day all. Just after a bit of advice. I have a business reward seat purchased with Velocity points through the Virgin site coming up in October 2022 for myself and my wife - SING - ADL. All up it was 106,000 in points.
We're currently in Vietnam and there's a possibility I may have to change the flight date to return to Australia.
After any advice on the following -
1) If I have to cancel the flight will the velocity points be reimbursed?
2) Can modifications to flight (by sourcing another reward flight) be done through the manage booking feature online?
3) Will I have to speak with someone in a call centre and if so would it be Virgin where the booking originated or Singapore Airlines the partner airline?
4) Will there be any additional charges?
5) Has anyone else in the forum encountered the same situation between theses 2 Airlines?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1) Yes, subject to a $60 or 7500 points charge per booking.
2) No - cancellations need to be done by calling the call centre
3) Virgin, as that is who your booking is through.
4) see 1)

Thanks for the information.
Much appreciated.

If you booked before 30th June 2022 you can change/cancel for free.

I don't believe this is correct.

That applies to bookings on Virgin Australia flights. They don't say they also offer it on partner flights, which this is.

I believe it applied to all velocity international redemptions, but unhelpfully Velocity seem to have taken all the previous info off their COVID page.
