Superhero has announced changes to their fees (brokerage and exchange rate fees), and with that comes changes to QFF earn:
  • All AU trades will earn 25 points per trade (down from 100. This now technically includes things like ETF trades which previously were $0 brokerage, now $2). Change is effective immediately
  • Earn rate of 1 point per $5USD converted from AUD will end as of 30 April 2024. Points will no longer be able to be earned on share transfers in (promos often occur on this, including the current promo due to end on 30 April)
  • From 1 May, you'll also earn 25 points per US trade

Fair enough. Not much margin in $2 brokerage!
Definitely not bad at all for an AU shares trade under $20k - although QFF points have reduced from 100 to 25, the brokerage fee has also reduced from $5 to $2 on these.

Those who buy US shares are potentially the 'losers' with this one - the conversion fee only drops slightly (from 0.7 to 0.65%), with $USD2 brokerage fees per trade added. Points also go from points per dollar at the conversion step (which could be a fair few for larger trades) to the fixed 25 points per trade.
