Seeking some advice here, have been trying to get an award flight to Europe next April via AA, have found it very difficult so have decided to split.

Have booked SIN - PAR (via HKG) on Cathay (HKG-CDG in first) and looking at either SYD - SIN (via MEL) in J (or possibly F) with Qantas points or using SQ. There are a number of options to pick, including a flight that arrives at 2:25pm and the onward flight leaves at 4.05pm to HKG. Will I need to exit immigration to recheckin my bags and is this cutting it too close?

SQ and QF arrives in SIN at a different terminal to CX (terminal 4) so I'd allow extra time even if your bags are checked through...

If your bags are checked through the T2-T4 bus will keep you airside and is reasonably frequent.Should not take much longer than between the other terminala. We have done it now a few times CX-BA and vice versa.
If arriving on SQ and transferring to CX you will have to collect your bags and transfer landside.
