Changing Elevate to Freedom

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experience in changing a pre-existing domestic Elevate fare to a Freedom fare on the same flights (>30 days out, so no fee)?

Does the fare credit as a Freedom for SCs?
If going for an upgrade do the relevant points required reduce to the rates for a Freedom fare?

I have previously changed a Getaway fare to a Freedom fare (paying the $80 change fee as well...), and the new fare will be a proper Freedom fare with SC earn and upgrade rates.

Just to close the loop I pulled the trigger early this morning and the points required for upgrade changed to the reduced amount. Based on above, the earn should also be at Freedom level .
