Hello friends,
Just finalised a new car and will be structuring the purchase via a Chattel Mortgage.
Is there any creative solutions out there for earning points via the CC or what structure i should request from my bank /private banker to allow this to occur.
For this scenario – my finance is coming from the bank not the car company.
Thanks again

Doubt you will be able to use CC in this case unless maybe putting down a deposit. I would expect the bank will only transfer funds to dealer and not to you to then pay via card. Would be great if this was possible.

craven - found out macquarie is the only bank that allows this via two ways. either they give u 150 000 aquire points as a one off and then debit you directly as per norm chattel or you can charge it monthly to only an AMEX card.

however their interest rate was 5%. hopeless compared to CBA.

kind regards

Free lunches are few and far between these days.
I prefer HP over Chattell to miss out on Stamp Duty with both readily available at competitive mortgage rates.
After the deal is done on the vehicle's drive away price, I then push the friendship on the size of the deposit offering to pay $10K on Amex. All dealers happily take $5K per vehicle without charging fees.
